Brain performance

Believe it or not you can read it. The brain does a
great job helping to optimize reading and pattern
recognition.

The human being and its brain

To me, the brain is constructed to OFTEN be wrong, but programmet to be right.

Wanting to be right
Our emotional memory wants to receive verification that we are right. Being right sais "I can predict the future". It it obviously a very important feature. If we can predict the future we feel safe. All since we then know what to do to get food etc.

Made to be wrong
When we are not right, we are wrong. Not a good feeling to most of us. But it should be. Always being right means we have ceased to learn. Being wrong is learning. Or: Not accepting not being right is a lost opportunity to learn.

Small children have a lot to learn and are not often right. It is frustrating.

Old people may think there is nothing left to learn. That's indirectly a bad feeling.

This was a very condensed little story. I have studied the function of the brain some and all can be verified by looking at how the brain works.

If we can see life as predicting, studying the actual outcome and resting we are doing pretty well.

Its a very important insight.
